Neither I would consider "great" money, especially not the former but the experience you gain can sometimes counteract the lower pay.
Main advice I can give you, is don't listen to what a bunch of people on the internet have to say about it. Especially if they haven't been there and done that for themselves.

I've been calling out Phil for about 3 weeks now. It's not my fault he went soft now is it? Phils original call out was ridiculous. A 9 second capable car calling out an intake and exhaust GTO. As FLATTERING to my driving ability as that is.. it was just stupid.Originally Posted by AnthonyF

Most of your call outs are ridiculous. You've called out WAY slower vehicles before. Does that make you better than Phil? Phil has logical reasons not to race your bitch ass. He said a TRACK...do you know what that is? 2 lanes, staging tree, timing equipment...you know TRACK?Originally Posted by ThackerSS

Why is daddies in quotes?Since it is his possession wouldn't it be Daddy's? I forgot...you dropped out at the 9th grade. MY BAD. lololol

Vipers are sort of the joke of American performance. Especially since cheaper, faster corvettes have been the norm since 2001.
No, actually with you, or your dad driving that viper will never see 11's.Originally Posted by AnthonyF

Run my camaro or my GTO, from a dig or roll. I will put the same money on it.
Slicks...hmmm ok. You know they are 335 tires smart one. Not the cheapest set of tires out there.Originally Posted by ThackerSS

a roll vs your 2...lolol...oh god. That would actually be easy money. But like I said, It isn't my car. At least I can admit that. Where as "your" cars are paid by other people.

lol. the viper does not make more than 500 at the rear tires. Please tell me you know the difference between crank HP, and RWHP?....Originally Posted by AnthonyF

haha get ur old man to run him from a roll if u won't........I mean that 100k viper should drag the camaro down the road(shit I forgot u can't drag anything unless u r towing it)
Oh, it doesn't make over 500hp? Care to put a wager on that? How about you and I paypal a 3rd party for a bet and I produce the sheets. What-a-say?Originally Posted by ThackerSS

Got it. But I don't get how that much can be made, without a degree plus certs, i thought the certs were only important alone with a degree. What are the hours like to bring in that kind of cash?!!!!! My mouth dropped when I got those numbers in a PM more like HOLY SHIT.Originally Posted by ThackerSS
My fiance has a IT Degree, and minor in management. He sure as hell doesn't make that kind of numbers you pmed me, where can he sign up? haha
P.S didn't return PM. Bc my control panel doesn't work, didn't wanna risk typing all this and have it not work.

Yep. My fiance wants to be a IT Manager one day. He had 5 years experience before getting job after graduation.Originally Posted by T.S.

I have a degree in TCOM, which I don't use, but you will NOT make that kind of money anymore. Back in the day, MCSE, A+, and things like that, used to mean a lot more, but now they mean dick. People want degrees, and if you can't produce that, you're gonna be bottom feeding for awhile. Those certs mean even less when you have less than 5yrs experience to go along with them. Like I said, outsourcing pretty much put the nail in the coffin on that one. It killed the market for college graduates in this country too.
ya it is typical, ill be happy to be that 3rd party to hold the money, and if thacker wins the bet ill be happy to deliv the $ in person to him!Originally Posted by AnthonyF

How much would/could he make with those certs and no college degree? (curious)Originally Posted by SleepingTalon
With no experience? You can expect a 35k/yr starting salary. If you have 5yrs+, then you can get more. How MUCH more depends on the company, and what kind of work they'll be having you do. The market for this stuff has really fallen out, and I pretty much saw that happening when I graduated, so I took a different route and didn't even do anything IT related. I'm MUCH better off now because of that decision, lol, so it was a good one for me to make. However, if you're set on being in that field, then that's what I would expect to start out at. It can vary a little bit, but with people that can do it for LESS money, have MORE experience, and MORE education (college degree's), you're resume becomes not as attractive as the next guy.Originally Posted by SlowsterCivy

I'm 21 and it is definitely possible as long as you are with the right company and you have the right credentials.
