LOL sh1t no! the ls1/ls2 engines LOVE 2 things.... boost and nitrous! you can safely run about 10psi on a stock internal block and make approximatly 600-650 rwhp on a conservative tune on pump gas. hell, at 6psi, you're already lookin at about 545-550rwhp and thats on an ls1. oh yeah, btw, i can also safely run a 150shot with no issues when tuned right... so no. it would only explode if i didnt do it the right way.
ie:
stock ls1 on 6psi
imagine what my ls2 would do...
scream for mercy then yell back with rods and pistons coming through the block and heads.
