Well, I'm not too happy with the folks at SPEC (hope they read this but I doubt it and doubt if they even care). Any way they sponsored me (partial) with a stage II last summer. The clutch never did feel right. I always thought it took way to little release on the pedal to grab. I told them and they had me check everything else under the sun except for what three mechanics all told me. The clutch was no good. So finally in December they caved to my constant calls and swaped me out for a new one. Oh an at MY expense! (I'll save the nightmare story of how Fed EX tried very hard to screw me on that whole shipping deal but that in itself is a very long story.) Back to the story. Right before Christmas the new clutch arrives and is installed. The new one felt right. A big difference from the first go around so I'm happy again. Until, two days ago I started to notice the pedal only needs to let up slightly and the clutch grabs. Now when sitting in traffic it will hardly make it into first gear after sitting in idle for a while. The longer I sit the harder it becomes. This exactly he behavior the first did right before it gave out. Between the two I got 12k miles which is totally unacceptable. My oem clutch which gave me 110k reliable miles and I would abuse it like crazy. So I am going back to stock. I will have spent $900.00 total for 3 clutch installs in one year's time. Hell I could have bought Team shirts and jackets for the whole team for that much! The thing that bugs me is SPEC's unwillingness to admit they have a design flaw. They expect me to do all the unnecessary diagnostics to prove them wrong and I have to pay shipping to boot? Never again! So needless to say I am an unhappy camper and have every right to be. So buyer beware!
