Default Is NOPI the only parts supply where i can order?

Parts for my car?? I've looked many times, and NOPI doesnt have any GOOD parts for my car anymore....They have mostly body kits, and suspension parts, but no engine upgrades other than injectors...Are they the only place where I can order parts, in the area?? I'd really like to start workin on my engine, but I dont know where to begin ordering parts from...

Its a Pontiac 2.2L OHV engine...

Are there not pontiac or chevy forums where you could ask? I'm sure their are some sites specific to cavaliers/sunfires.

and anyway most local shops arent gonna carry or be able to give you good prices on sunfire specific parts. most shops only deal with popular brand cars.... but if they do it wont be as cheap as you can get off the net somewhere..

Dude...Nitrous is your best bang for the buck, if you set it up properly, you won't have any issues with it as long as you don't go ape**** spraying everywhere you go.

I think we have a set of Sunfire headers, oddly enough, at our shop. Try e-mailing [email protected] if you are interested.

Because in the end you'll just be wasting your money and you won't get the power/money ratio that you invested into it. There's a reason you don't see a lot of those cars racing or hear about those motors.

BUT...if you do want some gain, like everyone else said, nitrous would be the way to go

    Well...lets see....so far, i've spent $102.00 on upgrades, and i can only guess....that i've gotten a gain of ~14 - 16HP more than stock......

And, i raced a bolt-on Integra(intake, exhaust) and pulled EVEN with it from 40 - 80, and those put out ~170 HP right...? So, i dont know if that means anything, but i think the mods might actually be working okay for me...But idunno....does that sound good?

you dont exactly have a motor or car that is supported or known for anything. Maybe thats why its hard to find stuff.

I wouldn't consider boosting my Pontiac. If you wanted a fast car, you wouldn't have opted for the Ecotec engine. I have the same engine. Some nice rims, a drop and you have a nice, low cruiser. Plus, you start going into the engine with turbos, you're asking for added maintenance and repairs. Later, QD.

well, its already a nice low cruiser....only part missing from that is a nice set of wheels, but i dont really care...

And, as far as ''opt''ing for the different engine...the cirumstances sorta didnt allow me to choose between engines, because i immediately needed another car to replace my corolla as a DailyDriver...and we ran into the pontiac and swooped it up for $500

And, i dont mind extra maintenence...and as far as repairs go? Exactly what kind of repairs are we talkin about??

You don't have to go aftermarket for nice wheels. I just upgraded from factory SE wheels to GT and made a world of difference. And for only $250 for wheels and tires.

Turbos and systems are high maintenance and require constant(pretty much) supervision. Plus on an Ecotec, you probably need to redo all the internals. Of course I'm not telling you what to do, but from a practical viewpoint, I wouldn't put that kind of money in that car. Hail, if you want to upgrade HP, do IHE and a pulley and bigger carb and call it a day. Later, QD.
