    Default cable B-Series tranny QUESTIONS!!

i got a jdm b16a and cable b16 first gen in my CRX. i want to get a cable integra LS tranny for it. i heard that '90-91 has a different clutch and axle splines than the '92-93 tranny.

what year LS tranny will be a direct bolt onto my car that will allow me to use my current axles and clutch?

    thanks guys

I'm pretty sure all the cable-tranny for B-Series are all the same, as in you can use all the same axles & clutch.

I'm using DA (90-93) Integra axles in my JDM B16 tranny right now.
BTW, S1/J1 (JDM B16) trannies are rare & expensive so why get rid of it, LS tranny will take you out of VTEC because the gears are just too long.

I agree, the LS transmission sucks. I have one on my b16 and I hate it. but all cable b-series, use the same axles like all of them, but the clutch is different between the 88-91 b-series, and 92-93 b series cable. an easy way, i distinguish them by is...if it has a gold sticker with black letters, it's a 88-91 b series, and if it has a white-ish sticker with black letters then it's 92-93 b-series cable..YS1 are always 92-93, which can be either LS long geared or the GSR/XSi Short geared..hope that helps, but yes, between the 2 types, the clutch splines are different.
