After waiting over an hour on him in a waffle house parking lot, he finally came with the engine (he forgot parts too)

Said no knocks at all. I open it up drop the oil pan and it looked like I was mining for gold. Nothing but bearing material everywhere. So I proceed to take off the rod caps and drop pistons. Bent rods, spun bearings galore. Thanks man I really appreciate it.

So I call him and let him know whats up- he sleeps on it then calls me back. He tells me that I got it cheap so he doesnt care. The fact of the matter is I want what I paid for. Regardless of price paid, he lied. He claims he didnt hear it knocking... Please look at the pictures and honestly say you dont think that it would make a god awful noise:

I already called him and spoke with him twice. His logic is that since I got it at a cheap price ( because he claimed it had bad rings and smoked) that im still making out. He had the audacity to claim that I got a good deal... haha!

He still owes me my camshafts as well that he forgot to bring to the deal. He owns a shop at 32 shorter ind. blvd in Rome GA

anyone from there know what shop that is?

Id say thats fair market value for a gsr swap that needs re reringed. But for one that needs a new crankshaft, rods etc its definitely too high.

regardless of what I paid for it, the fact is he lied to me. there is NO WAY in hell that that motor would have ran without knocking. I could move the big end of the rod around the crankshaft and hear it clicking around.

Probably because he lives 4 hours away from me. Fact of the matter is, I have his shop address, phone number, user name etc. I will be contacting quite a few resources to ensure that he does the right thing.

1300 for a complete swap is like market value. no deal there ive bought them for 1200-1400.

there is 1 thing i have learned around here never buy major parts from anybody who has less than 1000 posts, great rep, who hasnt been here steady for a year. anything less than that ill spend my money else where. most times.

ill bet there is a single good piece to that swap. what until u get the tranny an find out it grinds pop or flat out doesnt shift.

I say there is 2 sides to a story first I didn't try to rip anybody off. I drove that car right before I took it out the motor never knocked I did smoke I did state that in the thread when I was sellin it the motor wasn't sold as a good motor eithar I explaind very well what I knew about it befor he bought it I'm really sorry if he had more problems out of it and about the missing parts everything was there what I promised I did say I would give him the stock cams off of it I did forget them but told him to give me an address annd would make shure he got them asap but never got an address .

You sold the dude a motor claiming it smoked but pulled hard. HAVE YOU SEEN THE PICS OF THE MOTOR. The only time that motor was pulled hard is when it was yanked out of the car. You need to make this right. Small claims court is NOT expensive, and this is a pretty cut and dry case.

THere is your problem right there. I stay out of the car scene in Rome b/c of that shit right there. NEVER hear good things out of it. Plus I have NEVER heard good things about him or that shop. I have been there 1 time with a friend who was picking up his integra(who not to mention they NEVER got right) and that was it. I didnt like the vibe or anything from him or the "business."
