I promise you that book was thrown on the seat as soon as the owner left and they never looked at it again until they f'd up....the jack points on a mid/rear engine car aren't normally going to be in the same place as your average car...it's a light car to begin with and most of the weight is in the rear.
Any Snap-on tool has more common sense than you're average Goodyear employee. Depending on how long it sat like that and the angle of the cylinder there's probably oil sitting on top of the piston![]()
