    for all you photoshop junkies..........

HOW do you do the effect on a picture where the whole picture is black & white except for one little thing...

ex: maybe the whole picture of a girl is b&w except for her lips are red...

anyone know what im talking about & know how to do it??
just wondering...i always thought that looks so cool...

The first thing you do is go to LAYER and click on DUPLICATE LAYER. Then, turn the pic to B/W. To get B/W, you click on IMAGE/ADJUST/DESATURATE. After that, get your ERASER TOOL and erase whatever you want to be in color. Later, QD.

Ton of ways to do it but QD's way is one of the fastest! I usually lasso around one object, invert the selection and change it to B&W or vice versa!

....sortof like that. Leave the image in color and using the polygonal lasso tool cut out what you want to keep color. Once selected and closed out (flashing dashed line) right click on the object and select ** Layer via Copy. Then select the background in the layer menu and click Image-Adjust-Desaturate.

**can click Select Inverse here instead of creating a new layer then Image-Adjust-Desaturate but i like using layers because i can hide the one i just made and be left with just a b&w photo
