The photos arent sharp at all.....
What kind of equipment are you using to shoot with?
You either are shooting with a low end point and shoot or your compression software is jacked up.
I'm just the model. Not the photographer :P No idea hun.
my only 2 cents, first shirt didn't compliment ur eyes, second did. poses(sp) were pretty good. better camera need. looks good tho.

I'm with nem and vert. Unimaginative poses, everything looked the same, background hurt the pics and all in all, not very detailed.

wow the photographer sucks. Aside from what was already mentioned....look at the colors!! The background is def. not white. so quick and easy color correction would have fixed that. There is not enough contrast. The image is about twice the size it needs to be for that quality of resolution. I'm surprised he gets any buisness.

Damn, you guys are harsh.
I looked at the site for built4speed, and most photos by that photographer look that way....low quality, low compression, and lack of a "pop" in the photos. Just my opinion though.

Okay I would do this for anyone that posted pictures... but to be honest, if these were the photos you recieved after payment, id be demanding some money back.
Looking at the photos more, I notice shadows after improper use of flash, spots on the white screen, mat lines from where she was sitting, and poor use of whatever software being used for saving these photos. All little things that a pro would know to look for during a shoot. The colors seemed washed out. The reds arent red, the blues arent blue...just lack of depth overall...
Once again, im not trying to rip on someone elses work, just providing some constructive opinions.
protein stains
improper structure of poses... makeup... if you want your eyes which seems best feature to stand out... dont match the color, turns bland and doesnt flow. Hair always should only feature one side of the face... show a ear and some neck on the other side to show your face structure and not make you look like you are short...
Damn, this is why I am nervous shooting studio cause there is way too many variables in all of this. George, this is the first time I have ever seen you break down a picture like this and get this technical. I agree these don't pop and I believe it is the software as I have seen some of his other work and it looked pretty good. I know Reggie and he seems like a standup guy and from talking to some of the girls he does not do anything out of the ordinary or nag them till they do a shoot. So whatever Lee Anne is fabricating is not true, especially since I remember her posts praising his work and "couldn't wait till the next shoot". Now Lee Anne I have no idea what the deal is with you two but I know there is some beef there either him not bowing down to you and/or shooting you when you want or whatever but there is no reason to fabricate things.
As for what he shoots with I am pretty sure it is a 20D but not real sure of the lens.
As for the shadow and things like that, sometimes it is inevitable but can also be intentional. This is one of my favorite photographers, his work is amazing and they really pop. This is what I want to be able to reproduce from shooting studio and location.

Really depends on the look you are going for and the feel of the picture, sometimes having the hair come down around the face and "framing" the model can give the best results but for most shots, you are correct.
The 20D died i believe, not sure what he's shooting with now...i can't remember...don't think it's a D50 but it is a D-SLR. The compression has always been strange, he shoots in raw but not sure what software is used.
Reggie won't shoot Lea Anne anymore...just because how she is and who she thinks she is. Then talking shit about a photographer other than constructive criticism as George is doing is a good way to never get work...something not even boob job will fix. Lea Anne, for a long time you couldn't keep a goddamn bowl out of your mouth yet you still tell people you have never used drugs. You are a liar and you are fucking with someones business. No matter how good or bad his work is he still makes money off it and has fun doing it. If he doesn't want to work with someone after 1 shoot then he doesn't have to, it's his prerogative.
As for Candice's shoot, i don't like the clothes at all...honestly 99.9% of jean skirts are trashy.The makeup needs to be much more subtle...what you have here is potential hidden under a bunch of trash: be relaxed, more natural, etc. On her myspace the two pics in the blue shirt are 1000x better.

If he's shooting in raw and using a third party program to edit, he needs to go back to using picture project or Nikon Capture, if he cant use photoshop for post processing.

Ive not smoked in over 2 months, and plan on keeping it that way due to my present job (random drug test help with that, and the fact I dont like the way it makes me feel....IE: sick).... people fuck with peoples business all the time. And id like to see what kinda money he's making doing this. If girls are paying him to take pictures like this.... thats SO very very sad.

Wow, are you done acting like you are God's gift to modeling. Great now this is how it is, I have read his blog and comments where you were praising him and his work. I have also talked to him and heard all about your lil attitude and trying to get him to take pics of you in the studio all the time. Personally I could care less, it seems to be a pattern with you and anyone you hang out with that after a month or two nobody can stand you, especially on this site. Now if you want to do your thing modeling and having fun the by all means do it, it seems that you usually find a team or something to model for so that means you appeal to some. Just leave your attitude and name calling at the door cause none of us want to hear it, period.

And id like to see where I was trying to get studio time? Anyone in their right mind wont go to someones house they dont really know.... I wanted to work with him shortly after the fact, AT EVENTS...cause a few of the pictures DID turn out nicely, IMO of myself, wasnt worrying about the critique'n... but that didnt happen. Big deal. LOL, I like your opinion of the whole month or 2 thing... I dont really hang out with anyone from here...so k. I am enjoying modeling... and am with a team, and I couldnt ask for more. I wanted to state my opinion as EVERYONE ELSE has.... because ive worked with him, sure it was alright at the time....thought about everything though and put it into perspective... I dont like working with him, I dont think he produces good images. Etc.etc. When working with better photographers then him, its easy to say it. I mean I can respect the fact he's trying to get in expierenece... but I dont think its good to claim yourself as good. Like he has.

"biggie" sucks at photography, smokes pot when shooting (could just be me, but I certainly smelled it when I was shooting inside of HIS scion...)... when he does, it takes him like 30 mins to produce a minimum of like 5 photo's. He goes on myspace, if he shoots with you, he will make sure to nag your friends until he gets them into his house so he can take pictures of girls for whatever reason. Go to www.built4speed.org and make sure to listen to him talk... can we say CREEPY? Some people just shouldnt do photography. Take pictures or whatever... sure.... but not claim it as a professional hobby like the above listed in the signature on the pictures.

Of course there may be times when photos arent perfect but look at Jada's pics they came out great and she uses them in her portfolio and is now past you in the model game. Guess it might be good that I didnt... And the more money from the company thing, getting sick the night before was inpreventable.... we STILL worked...even though we were sick. Didnt get paid. And the communicaton with the model coordinator sucked... she wouldnt return phone calls. Yet she called the whole previous next day to beg us to work.... whatever though. And yea, Jada told me about David Bourne. Congrats to her... doesnt she have to go up north though or something? Id do alot of traveling if I wasnt actually working now. 7:30-4p m-f as a parts manager at a forklift company. And then when I get my license back ill be starting a 2nd job. If the modeling is gona happen, it will just have to happen. A career is gaurenteed. Modeling isnt.
