    Learn your camera!!!!!!! Owning a D-SLR and not knowing how to use it isnt any good. Just because you have one doesnt mean you can will be able to take shots out of the box like this. I think a lot of people have this notion that to be a good photographer you have to have high end equipment.

    D-SLR's are great in their own way, but unless you plan on getting serious with photography, a high end point and shoot will give you more versatility for the money. Buying lenses left and right add up quick The only reason I have two D-SLR's is for the fact that if Im away on an event and something happens to the main body, I wont be stuck hundreds of miles away from home without a camera to shoot with. Or if shooting a once in a lifetime type event (such as a wedding) the customer isnt screwed out of what they paid for.
