NO!! I wanted the VR but when I had the money, it was sold out and on backorder. Now the money is a lil tight so I will have to hold off for a bit. VR is where its at though, cause I like to take a lot of night shots.

VR is the shit, but for still shots at night Id honestly rather use a tripod, and save the other 600-700 dollars for another lens. Personal opinion though.
VR helps.. but soo does practicing a steady hand, something most people dont do. Body position is a affordable alternative to VR

pictures have to be taken between Friday 12:01am and whenever to get it posted in time for the 12:01 monday thread lock...

This is two I snapped today and it sucks trying to shoot in a large crowd.
always keeping an arm pushing people out of the way and the other arm blocking for your dslr...

Large crowds and slow shutter speeds is not a good combination. I had no problem pushing them out of the way but everytime a celebrity came close or stood up they bumrushed to get a pic.
