Thanks I want to get a shot like this one day. But even then none of the midtown condos are visible. I don't know of a place where you can get the entire skyline in a photo.

I know exactly where you can get a shot of the whole atlanta skyline. an a ridiculous view too. Problem is getting there.
Met someone I'm sure you all know...

didn't get expressed permission to use the kid's image... so he is cropped out.

You dont need "expressed permission" to post a picture unless you're doing it for some kind of commercial advertising
your assumption would file under the field of journalistic photography... I take pictures of these people under their understanding that I am going to sell them the image with the stable's logo on it, which does have its restrictions. Posting pictures of children on horseback without permission would be reckless on my part.
Waiting to fly out to L.A.
Heatwaves = massive distortion....

So are you afraid she's gonna take you to court for posting her picute up on a message forum? If that was the case she could take you to court for hosting it on a web page. My statement goes for EVERYTHING that comes off your camer sensor. Your picutre falls under the same case as that pic of Ludacris up there. I'll post up a couple lists of rights when I get back home tonight.
I might have it twisted, but taking a picture in a public event of a celebrity and posting it on the internet is a bit different than taking a picture of a child and posting it up for all to see. I'll be interested to see where this falls in the list of photographer's rights.
In any case I am sure the parents, if given a choice, would rather not have the likeness of their child posted up on a car forum. I would also not want to loose any customers for my lack of discretion or character...and gain customers for the recognition of protection for their personal privacy.
Thanks for bringing up the issue!
