Stepping the photos up...MB Wallpapers
Aiming to produce a better quality photo, a friend brought his gear out for me to test on a 2010 Mercedes-Benz C300. Equipment is a Nikon D700 using a 24-70 f/2.8 and a 70-200 f/2.8 VR. My shots but it's his gear and he assisted so I gave him credit too.

Photos of cars are all about the lighting, angles, reflections, shadows, etc...doesn't take a "fancy" camera unless you want the ability to make high quality poster sized enlargements.

It's nice having a variety of focal lengths, my personal lens collection includes a 50mm and 300mm prime so anything between the two is virtually uncharted territory for me lol! I've never directly compared it to Canon's 70-200 f/2.8L IS so I can't offer a true critique, it easily fulfilled my expectations though

Ha! I'll use any camera that has a bigger sensor than mine, don't care who makes it lol! When you shoot for over 12 hours a day at a track handheld without a tripod then you want the camera that best fits your hands and you're comfortable using...for me I still prefer Canon's pro bodies more! On a tripod, where you never touch the camera other than to adjust a few settings it's all the same...just another tool from the tool box.D700

Thanks! I may post the full 1280x800 of it but thought I would try it with the 2.85:1 aspect ratio first.
Here's the exact same version of the first one but shot a hair higher and used the 70-200 instead of the 24-70. Compositionly (is that a word?!) this one may be better because the ceiling isn't cut off by the roof as in the first one. There's also 3 different colored lights, from halogen's purple hue to fluorescent's green so I made them b&w.
Decided to go ahead and post the color too...
