^^ You know its a whole lot easier when posting items from flickr to click the SHARE button and then choose HTML/BBCODE which gives you the code to post for every size you want.
this does 2 things:
1. makes it Easier on you as a board poster instead of having to click on the image then click on ALL sizes and then right click for internet properties
2. you get more Click throughs and views on your images for people on forums to see where we can look at the image, the Exif data and also it allows your images to be throw into Flickr Pools for the explorer so more people world wide can possbily see them.
and great bird picture. what focal length were you using? 55-200?

I use Millers Millers Lab http://www.millerslab.com/
great site and fantastic printing and paper.
looks like the sigma 10-20 yo used?
since you get a lot of distortionwide open at 10mm usualy heres another idea. since the lens is already wide.... try staying at 10 or even 15 mm and instead of framing the whole building with one shot split it up into 2 o 3 shots from left to right or vice versa. take 3 pictures of left side, middle and right side and then merge them into one picture using photoshop merge feature and you might like the results you get and ou get more cropable areas to cut away the distortion and still have a nice wide angle shot.
i like the lens and it certainly will give you a lot of versatility for all kinds of things. (im partial to wide lenses though.) great job!
another shot i edited from the other day

i just miss the old IA. I understand I am not the best photog. out there, but i do embrace that i have a good eye for it. with it being so easy to get a pro-sumer level camera now, everyone with one eye thinks they're a photographer now. it just frustrates the shit out of me. i can't bring myself to blow smoke up peoples' asses anymore. there's a fine line between someone with bad mechanics and someone that just doesn't have an eye for it. i mean you can look back at my old stuff and the picture may not be the best, but the subject, framing, and concept are still going to be decent. so i don't mean to sound pretentious or closed-minded, but i just miss when IA was full of good photographers. full of my friends that i knew and respected. now it's just a bunch of random ass people that care nothing about trying to produce worth-while photos.
/rant. i'll continue to watch this thread, but i'll be dammed if i don't leave disappointed most everyday.
hey hey! the thread is photograph a day, so i did. it isnt my best work and i know that, duh. aside from that, it seems like a person has to be an absolute artist to post here (by how you make it sound).. if thats the case it should be titled " post your GREATEST and ONLY greatest photographic work here ".
its not serious to the point to rant about it, but if it will make you feel better i can go and remove all that i have posted previously just for you.
i never said it was art, again it was a random picture of a day. refer to my first statementOriginally Posted by Mr.Clean
