Not tryin to be a dick but we have a forum for CAR PICS which your thread was moved too. Any reason why you just created a new one instead of looking for the other one?

George is the man to ask about nighttime shots. He has those down. What kind of camera?

oh ok. I am not very well versed in night shots (I leave that to George) but I think if you cranked the ISO up to 400 or even 800 and shot it on Av at like F12 or so with a tripod you would get a lot better shots. There again I am not sure since I hardly ever, ok never, take night shots.

Well honestly the higher the ISO the grainier the shot is going to be. If you shot it at ISO100 im not sure what happened to the pictures. Did you resize them in a program? If so what program and how did you save the picture? It seems like when it saved there was some dithering of the image.

The xt's can handle up to 400 and sometimes 800 before they get grainy. Just FYI. ~leaves so George can teach class again~

Photoshop wouldn't have done that unless you played with them (sharpening, contrast, etc) and then saved it in low resolution.

Depending on if she used the "Save for Web" method of saving , or Save As, it is possible to degrade the quality of the shot after that.

sorry, typo! lol Not sure why I was thinking that.

If you used save for web, you pull out a lot of color and details that sometimes isnt noticeable. But depending on what settings were used when saving that way, that could be your answer as to why they are grainy.

Yeah I never "save for the web". I guess that is why some forums hate when I post pics up

George shoots with a D50 and so does Brady and Walker (Deutchbag).

Just your usual Save As function and then slide the bar to the right hand portion of the quality indicator.
