Umm.. how in the world does a 12 MPixel Canon Xsi = a 10 Mpixel Nikon D60? More like Canon Xti = Nikon D60.

In megapixels yes, but in class systems no, they are both brand's entry level cameras, and they share similar cheap technology pentamirror viewfinders(instead of pentaprism) cheaply built plastic bodies, etc. etc.)

Its a bit disingenuous to compare class when the feature set is as different as it is (as cameras go) due to the difference in age/generation.

What you are suggesting is similar to saying that a 2002 Accord is the same as a 2007 Altima because they are in the same class. (or vice-versa... a 2002 Altima compared to a 2007 Accord).

Look down the feature set and performance of the cameras and then tell me again that they are 'the same'

They are both the CURRENT entry level cameras, it still applies, anyway, I'e found Canon and Nikon often have a stepladder of competition, rather than an equality, like
