I have thought about selling my 30D to pick up a 50D but not sure yet as I am still thinking about the 5D. lol

me too. i want a 5dmkII pretty bad.

as far as the 40d i think you will be ok with it. its pretty quick as far as burst, it handles higher ASA than your 30d (i think...im pretty sure the 40d goes to 6400) and it still accepts EF and EF-S lens series, leaving you with plenty of options. Go for it if you can get a good deal....

I think I am going to get the Olympus 520 to upgrade from my 500, the 40D for track events and the Olympus SP-570 UZ for my next POS I mean P&S.

seriuosly. think about that. its not really an upgrade. i dont really know what you are saying. you are going to upgrade to an olympus 520, AND buy a 40d? You will be totally set with a 40d.
