    Default Most recent kill - v.Ialmostgotbit!

    GOTTA love crappy cell phone pics.

    So.... My hunting buddy and I went to our hog hunting spot a couple of days back. We were almost successful in killing a hog. I shot him about 30 meters out and we followed the blood trail for about an hour and a half. During our search for the hog we came across this fellow. Our should I say my buddy almost stepped on this lovely Timber rattler. He was chilling on the back side of an uprooted stump. I heard rattling from about 10 meters away and I drew just to be safe. I found the direction, saw it, and released. I should say that it was a fair shot. Hoyt compound bow from about 30 feet. The broadhead tore a huge hole. Anywho.. The snake was a little over 4 feet and the rattle was 13 plus a button.

    I'm pretty sure the orange is a shade that deer see as grey or something like that.

    The orange vest is mandatory in the state of ga. It is so that you dont shoot eachother walking through the woods. There are alot of dumb hunters out there. Anywho.. It was a good shot. I will be having a large bbq party next hog i get.
