Yeah.... Im probably the last person you need to tell that to. Not trying to be an ass, but just telling you that a subject for a photo contest shouldnt be as vague as the one you have listed. Take a look at the last couple...reflections/money/etc. You are on a car forum, all someone has to do is post a ****ty pic of a GT-R and all the dumbasses with a DSLR that post "PHOTOSHOOTS" are going to vote for it because it has a GT-R in it, and the guy that takes a pic of a homeless guy huddled on the side of a street with a Bus going by isnt going to win. Do you know what Im saying , "young padawon"?

it seems as if all the children chose the prettiest picture in the thread as opposed to referring to the topic.
that may happen to this one.
i mean... ima participate nonetheless but i believe the most balliness vehicle is gonna win cuz thats just how fickle these people are
I have to agree. This particular idea isn't that good for a photography contest. I believe thinking outside the box ideas would be urban life shots, antiquity shots, countryside shots and the like. Not your average, everyday "take a pic of a car" contest. I've been wanting to get involved with these contests each week but haven't been able to make time for it. I know I'm a nobody in the photog world, but I'm not going to try to make time for this one. Sorry dude. Later, QD.hmmm... this really does make sense

I really don't understand why this is such a hard topic for everybody. Transportation as a theme doesn't mean "go outside and take a picture of your car". There are an infinite number of routes to go here: trains, bikes, planes, anything. Sounds more like a cop-out for people that are dismissing it as stupid.
Call it what you want, but this is a played subject. Get original with ideas. I really don't understand why this such a hard point to get for people. Sounds more like an attempt to try and make other people (better than they) look bad. You're one of the few member on here that I wouldn't have thought would bother getting into a tangle with me. Not trying to tangle my friend. Just healthy discussion.
I was given a lot harder topics to photograph in college. Try having to do a self-portrait and having to present it to peer criticism. In the world of facebook and myspace, it was near impossible to find a unique route of photographing yourself. I think when we are forced to find something interesting and unique in something we find so familiar, it forces us to step outside of our comfort zone. For example, there is no way that I would turn in a picture of my Fit for this competition, even though i love photographing it, because that would show a complete lack of creativity and effort.
I think that if we think thematically about this topic rather than bike racks, bbs's, and turbos, it could yield some cool results, that otherwise might have been overlooked.
