depends on what kind of car its on. flush to a civic is like ...15x7.5 w/ +38 offset? not 100% on it, but my 240 is flush w/ F16x7 and R16x8 w/ +20 offset. like hachidori said, its how far off the center of the rim in cm's that the lugs screw on, hence offset: 0 is neither + or - , aka dead center, meaning itll bolt up 4" in if it were a 8" rim in width. +40 is 40cm towards outside of rim where it bolts up from the center. hope that helped
