Ok, I even added a female beta to my male and he kept running her off. Now I did a test a year or so ago.I had ALL passive fish except a crawdad,everyone leaved in peace and I put food on the botom for the crawdad so he left everyone alone. Now I added a beta to this and the beta is FINE if all fish were passive but as soon as he saw the crawdad he started bullying him around. After 2 days I thought I should take the beta back and the crawdad has taking enough of it. Well before I could get the beta the crawdad jumped up and grabbed his ass and ate him.So long story short all passive fish that are NON threating looking it may work. I do have another beta now and I named him rodney. When I cleaned out his tnak yesterday and I couldnt find the alge eater, so weird.
