    Pictures make it look like a cobra but can't be unless someones pet got loose cause cobras are not in this region. I would think its more like a Hognose snake it does this or any other genus Heterodon,elapidae family snakes mimic with Hoods like the Cobra.

    Bingo. It is probably a hognose snake

    "When threatened, hognose snakes will flatten their necks and raise their heads off the ground, like a cobra, and hiss. "

    Plus Cobra's are usually solid colors, while Hognoses have patterns.
