Q: I don’t have a GFL. Can I carry in my car?
A: If you are eligible for a firearms license, then you may carry a firearm anywhere inside your vehicle, concealed or openly. You may not carry a firearm in a car belonging to another person."

As a 20 yr old, you are NOT ELIGIBLE for a license, therefore it is safer to say that you can NOT carry it in you car with more certainty. To be on the safe side, wait until you are 21. Then you're good to go.
under 21 you can have it in the car, in plain view. This coming from D. King one of the best 2a lawyers in the state and the DA's office.
