Your M&P will handle +P loads all day long and twice on Sunday. There is some "additional" wear that S&W warns about in their manual about it, but that's usually more CYA for them than anything else. You don't need to shoot +P's for target practice everyday (it would get expensive), so for a mediocre diet of it you should be perfectly fine.

Personally, I would just go with a good brand 115gr HP as that has been proven time and time again by LEO's on the street. It works. That's what you want it to do, so go for it. With your full size M&P, you really don't need to go too crazy trying to make up for short barrel ballistic loses like you may consider with a sub-compact for example. Trust me, if you double tap someone with 115, 124, or 147's in the middle of the sternum.....they aint gonna be happy....

Again, don't get caught up with too many details. Concentrate on practice and handling your weapon. Some of us are anal and complicate things because we may carry tiny sub-compacts or wanna be uber macho, but in your case you should just stick to the straight forward. You'll be just fine.

Great weapon BTW.
