This thread is for both atheist and theists alike:
for the atheist: I simply put this up because most of the people who believe in God, I believe, do so in a natural way. Almost instinctive and we don't spend our time trying to answer the question or argue against it because in our existence we cannot pull the belief out of the fabric of who we are. to us God is as natural as waking up and knowing the sun is in the sky.

For the theists: too many of us are trying to argue the existence of God without having a strong believe in who God is. We try to argue emotionally against people who believe that they are authorities on this planet. We need to hear and understand the reasons that we are not foolish, and why our hearts and our minds point us in a direction that says, yes, even though I don't see him, God is real.

So I just came from the thread that asks if you believe in God.

I believe there are other beings that have lived on this earth before, and I believe that there is God. I have a degree in studies of religion and I am curious as to how so many people have become atheist in their beliefs. It used to be very hard to find someone who did not subscribe to an existence of some higher power. It has only been recently (last couple hundred years) that men have began to define their knowledge and understanding as the work of their own hands and not as knowledge departed by God. This is where we see the number of atheists sky rocket as science attempts to become almost a religion in and of itself by taking assumptions and applying them to fact.

So my opinion is that, MOST of the people that claim to be atheist are not using their own work but piggy backing on what they read (same for people who believe in a God) or heard from someone who uses phrases like

no scientific proof:
if there is a God then why would he (fill in the blank):
untestable:
lack of evidence:
illogical:
mythological:
fairy tales
etc
to describe the existence of God.

here is an awesome debate (for atheist especially) to listen to. Its long, and it is one of the leading atheists (Gordon Stein) debating the existence of a God. It takes a while to listen to so if you decide to listen try to get through the entire thing because if you skip and try to post something then you may misquote someone and sound stupid and be sure that many people on here will listen to both sides.

***WARNING. The arguments for atheism get beat to hell in a way that many of us have never heard or can even understand. You will need to be on your toes listening if you decide to hear the arguments presented side by side by two of the top debaters of our time. I am not trying to start anything or say anything personal against anyone, but this is the easiest way for me to show the fallacies of the atheistic mind, especially one who claims a loyalty to universal science and logic without the presence of God(which 99% of arguments against an existence of God use to claim there is no evidence)

Lastly, of course there are also debates where the atheist wins, but in this case we are looking at two of the tops of either side and we are not having some fake scientist or fake religious fumble through their words. The playing field is even. Its doubtful that anyone that either of us knows can out debate either of these two men. They spend their lives in debate and their records are amazing, so remember that before you post something ridiculous. ****
