my life is great. I have a good job, I'm going to school, I'm a decent looking person, I also have a great family. That's my point. I am having a great life without religion, and since this is possible, why the hell do so many require it? it must be because of the reason I've stated above. If you're confident in yourself that you control your destiny then you can truly do anything you want. And it's not up to jesus or anyone else to make things happen.
Responding: I believe in Jesus not because i'm stupid, poor, laxy, etc..(saying that in a calm way - i believe in peaceful conversation and i respect that you have kept things that way) - I believe in him because in "Him" my life is complete, regardless of what comes or goes(jobs, homes, money, etc). I'm complete because of Him. You said we don't need Jesus to make things happen but can you raise yourself from the dead? Can you bridge the gap between man and God? if your family or even you become ill - can you heal their sickness? in the kindest way, NO - you can't. He is the only one that offers these things and many more. You may say that this is crazy but what if its true? What if during the day of Judgement you are raised from the dead to be judged to eternal life in hell, not death! Not saying well - worse case i'll just be dead - NO! You'll be dead in Christ (away from him) but you'll suffer forever! But if you believe - then you'll suffer "Never". Also - i just want to make the point of Christians being hypocritical, Its true we say one thing and do another but "We all do" The only reason people point us out so much is because we promote such a good life and when we don't live up to that good standard of living - it makes us look twice as bad! But its just as hard for the Christian person to live a good life as it is for you - the funny thing is that non believers will hold others to standards that they themselves can not maintain.
