I see guys up @ KSU doing this in the East parking deck all the time. It looks fun, maybe I'll try it whenever I have the $ to buy a board.

Lolol. Chris, when I first saw this topic appear, I thought the exact same thing. The original "longboarders" were surfers. Below is the original. Ok, carry on. Later, QD.

Ugh. Shoot yourself. Lolol. I don't see too many surfers that skate. It's usually one or the other. And, at least to me, it is a completely different feel between the two. I don't skate, though. Quit doing that back in 1984. Later, QD.

um shoot myself ? yeah ..... come on in this thread and start a bit of an uproar. you seem to be okay at that .. you obviously know nothing or possibly a tidbit about either ..... actually every surfer i knew from my time living in hawaii was longboarding WITH a surfboard under 1 arm on the way to the beach....again.. its the same feel .......whether youre carving crete or a break....... oh yeah i wouldnt want to forget my lousy signoff .. LOL, i thought about making this exact thread a couple of nights ago when I saw the skate meet one. I've only been longboarding for a little over a month now, whenever I have free time (i'm riding a Landyachtz Evo) But we have a pretty large group that rides pretty much every week around the Gainesville/Dahlonega area. I'd be down to have a get together to ride. Here's the myspace link to the local store that my friends own. They have gotten ALOT of people into it http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...endid=92184036

Actually, dumbass, I wasn't picking on you. Pull your dress down so your slip won't fucking show. You brought this wrath on yourself. I made a simple, non-threatening comment and you want to blow up. I've been into surfing since before you were born so I do have a "tidbit" of knowledge on the subject. Also, you ever heard of the phrase, "times change?" Quite a simple little phrase. Pretty self-explanatory if I say so myself. So get off your "I lived in Hawaii" crap. Who cares? Later, QD.

Yeah, uhmmm.......I believe surfers came up with longboard skateboards. It was what they did when there were no waves. On a long flexy board it is as close to surfing you can get

That's more like it. But I'm not going to argue about this. That's not what my comment was for. Later, QD.

Some of us local guys went up and ran down 129. I made it about half way down then my legs started to give out from crouching, but some of the other guys just bombed it. They went and did a few parts of 180 the other night too
