um shoot myself ? yeah ..... come on in this thread and start a bit of an uproar. you seem to be okay at that .. you obviously know nothing or possibly a tidbit about either ..... actually every surfer i knew from my time living in hawaii was longboarding WITH a surfboard under 1 arm on the way to the beach....again.. its the same feel .......whether youre carving crete or a break....... oh yeah i wouldnt want to forget my lousy signoff .. LOL, i thought about making this exact thread a couple of nights ago when I saw the skate meet one. I've only been longboarding for a little over a month now, whenever I have free time (i'm riding a Landyachtz Evo) But we have a pretty large group that rides pretty much every week around the Gainesville/Dahlonega area. Yeah, uhmmm.......I believe surfers came up with longboard skateboards. It was what they did when there were no waves. On a long flexy board it is as close to surfing you can get

Some of us local guys went up and ran down 129. I made it about half way down then my legs started to give out from crouching, but some of the other guys just bombed it. They went and did a few parts of 180 the other night too
