Give me a fucking break. You are one of the few people on this board I would have expected to be smarter than this.

I stated facts lol, this may be a replica I don't care, just saying you can't decide just because of the tow vehicle.

Thats just it you can decide purely based on the vehicle. Insurance companies that insure vehicles like this would only insure it if it was being transported in a proper manner. A proper manner for a 15 plus million dollar car is in a covered stacker trailer at minimum

    Simon.....comon.....seriously?

A REAL 250 GTO would be transported in a trailer like the ones used by pro race teams.

250 GTOs are past the point of being "just a car." It's more like rare jewelry.

You'd never catch an owner of the hope diamond just walking around with it anywhere as you'd never catch a 250 GTO being driven around like that.

    Here's what i mean.....

But an M1 isn't worth tens of millions. Neither is a 959.

Unlike most people on here, for me, the issue is not the Ford but the open trailer. There are too many hazards associated with that. I wouldn't carry a Rolex in a bucket.

Well all I know is I've seen some stupid shit being towed on open trailers and some crazy stuff in general. I saw a open semi trailer with an F40, F50, a few Lambos, and some other exotics at a gas station.

Yea. It happens all the time.

It's not that people don't give a damm about the cars either, it's just that they don't think of the repurcussions. It's simple human nature, you don't think it could happen to you. Then.....when it does, you look back and think "Man, I probably shouldn't have put that car on the rickety trailor....oh well, i'll get it fixed".

Go to races like the Silver State open road challenge or the La Carrera Pan-America. You will see some expensive vintage iron down there. They also run em flat out. When they wreck em....most will say they will just get it fixed and it's still worth what it was worth before the wreck.

The reason is supply. Newer Exotics don't have a supply problem. But the 250 has a huge supply problem, there just aren't any of them. So the demand will outweigh the accident simply because there are no others to be bought.

The argument isn't or shouldn't be about an open trailer. Bugs on a windshield or headlights and possibly a couple rock chips isn't going to hurt a car. I guarantee you that semi has more insurance coverage than the euro minivan/suv thing and aluminum trailer. The F50 will be the most valuable at $750-900k, followed by the F40 for $500-600k, then whatever the Lambos are worth...probably no more than $150-250k each. All those combined still won't reach even the low end value of a 250 GTO, as in the cheapest one has ever sold for.

    Anything is possible though?

That photo right there sums up what I said about rich people and their inability to grasp what their toys are worth to other people. When you are inundated with money, things like this are just another posession. To us they are godly automobiles, to them....just a car.
