This is my personal experience with them. Cliffs at the bottom.

I made the mistake of taking my car to them. I have polished aluminum CCWs on my Corvette and took my car to Sky expecting nothing but professional and knowledgeable employees.

I take my car there on Saturday, let the guy know what I want done, he tells me not a problem. I advised him I wanted them to particularly careful with my wheels and clean them well. He said, "Not a problem." I told him I will tip very well if the wheels come out as I'd expressed. He then stated, "That won't be necessary, as the cleaners will do an excellent job and not that they will notice, as they are probably not even legal." I gave him a blank look, and walked inside.

I take my $42 ticket inside to pay thinking everything will be perfect upon leaving. My car comes out of the car wash, and is now getting vaccumed. I see the girl cleaning the wheels from afar while she is leaning on the car with her empty hand. I'm thinking to myself, "Why bother having the car washed if they're going to be putting hand prints right back on it?"

Nonetheless, I say nothing. I see they pull the car around, and I approach. Upon inspection of my wheels, I notice a cloudy, white substance on my wheel. I look closer to see the wheels are no longer shiney as they were when I brought them there. It appears something had eaten away at the polished finish.

I ask to speak with a manager, he comes over, tells me he's not going to do anything, as they don't cover aftermarket parts. He tells me he washes over 500 cars a day and cannot be responsible for aftermarket parts. I then reply and say, "So you wash over 500 cars a day, a basic wash is ~$40, and you've never had this problem before? I find that incredibly hard to believe." He then gets a call and says he will be right back. Note that I am in front of the car wash speaking with the manager in a not-so-happy manner. He tells me the owner of the car wash would like to speak with me.

The owner was a complete prick. Had no regard for what happened to my wheels, and wants me to leave. I told him this was unacceptable. I brought my car here to get washed, and leave with damaged $4,000 wheels.

I call CCW, the wheel manufacturer, and speak with a rep there. I ask if there are any specific brands of wheel cleaners I should use on the wheels. He stated as long as there is no amonia based chemicals or degreasers, then the wheels should be fine to take anywhere.

I tell the owner this, and it's as if he could've cared less while stating, "Nothing but the best chemicals and soaps are used here."

Let me not forgot to mention there is brake dust ALL OVER my front wheels. They had not even been cleaned!

Well, long story short, before calling my lawyer, I decide to try to calmly negotiate a happy median for the both of us. He tells me he will cover half of the cost of repair to have all wheels re-polished. I tell him that's acceptable to me. He tells me to wait one moment in the lobby. I sit there for about 15 minutes, and then he tells me, "Ya know, I don't feel like it's our fault, and I will cover 1 hours' worth of labor for one of my employees to try to buff/polish out the blemishes." I ask him what happened to our deal of him covering half of the charges, and he said he doesn't feel that he should be responsible considering his sign states 'no aftermarket parts will be covered'. I tell him his employee told me they would be fine. He says nothing.

At this point, I'm frustrated, and don't want to deal with his condescending attitude towards me. I pull out the Sony 8.1 digi cam and start snapping away for my lawyer. He then states, "Ya know, since I'm in a good mood, and you've been a nice guy about it, I'll give you $200 to get the wheels repaired thru Butler Tire."

I take the $200 check, sign the waiver, and go on my way.

First and last time I'll ever do business with them again.

This post is simply to state my personal experience with Sky Car Wash in Alpharetta.

Cliffs:

-Take the Z06 there to get washed
-Worker makes comment about their employees being illegal, says it's ok to wash my car with the wheels
-Wheels have been sprayed with amonia based chemicals, possibly a very strong degreaser leaving a cloudy look and white blotches all over my $4,000 CCW wheels
-Owner is rude and has condescending attitude and offers to cover half of repairs and then decides he will not
-I start taking pictures of the poor job they did as there was brake dust all over my wheels after paying $50 for a car wash
-Owner then decides he wants to cover half of the costs
-I leave
