Yeah but the reason is the context of the usage. When white people say it, it draws upon slavery and how whites used it to refer to blacks as their property and ordered them around.

When other races say it today it is not a big deal because they weren't involved in that shit.

Alright I see where you are coming from. I think the word itself is ridiculous.

I am not saying that I know the answer to why this word is offensive but I think that what I said is feasible. It's really degrading in the context of a white person saying it.

By no means should whites today be held accountable, but we should respect the fact that white people fucked up in the past. The word is a racial slur, no one should say it. But I feel whites need to be especially considerate as we basically invented that shit.
