Good to hear your time is up over there, I was over there last year, and I go back next week. (Not as military, but contract work.) I've got a ton of respect for what you guys do over there, that's why I'm going back to do a second year, I figure that instead of talking about how I support the troops, I'd actually do something.

Yeah, it's a good deal, I paid off a ton of debt last year, (and bought some toys) this year will be all savings. I'll probably take a few months off after this contract and do a third. Last year I was at Liberty, Falcon and Speicher, they moved me around a lot, which was cool, got to see more than some contractors who just get stuck at one camp. It was definately an experience.

the infantry are the guys that kick in the doors and capture the bad guys, we are the ones doing daily patrols and missions, were the backbone of the Army/Marines, without the infantry there is no Army/Marines.

After his first tour, he came back, bought a computer, a car, a shit ton of video games, and ipod and PSP movies.
Apparently the PSP is what kept him sane while he was deployed; the family would send movies.
