    16months is a long ass time man. ive done 2 6 month deployments and those were hell for the wife and i. u guys must have a really strong relationship. theres nothing like coming home and seeing ur significant other standing there waiting for you. dont drop youre pack just yet wait till ur back home and have a beer and a blunt in ur hand before u do that.

    My wife has been very strong, I came back out here from leave on Nov 14 of last year so we havent even seen eachothers faces in over a year. Were both pretty nervous to see each other and neither of us know what to expect.

    It was tat way when I came home on leave and that was after only being apart a couple months, now we will be seeing eachother for the first time in 13 months, Im sure it will take a few days to get back in the groove.

    Werd. I went to bed around 2 a.m. and woke up at like 7:30 wide ass awake. My wife and I are both in disbelief that we will actually be together again by the end of the week. I think getting extended has made me appreciate going home alot more.

    Well, now I am back at Speicher. But Last year I bounced around between Falcon, Liberty, and Speicher. Of course it figures that they stuck me back at Speicher again, and the tent I'm in is worse than the one last year. Oh well! Never been to Taji, but I hear that it is a pretty nice camp compared to some.
