Not sure. However, I do know that you can apply for a bonded title. It costs between 80 and 100 bucks to be prepared and there are a few things you have to do in order to receive the "Bonded" title. A bonded title works as a regular title, it just lets the DMV know that you have the car in case someone else finds the title and decides to: steal it, or in case you stole it, etc etc. There are a couple of places that do it, Byrd Insurance are the people I use. Im sure there is another place closer to you. You can also ask your tag office where an agency is located locally that is capable of helping you get a bonded title. Hope it helps.
