Nope. It's looked upon as a standard rifle. You need to be 18.Originally Posted by nightracer

Haha Ruiner, I'm well over 18.I know anything barrel shorter than 16" is illegal I guess that is the only thing to worry about? I am considering modifying the upper half. Any laws regulating that out here?

Under 16" isn't illegal, but you would need to get a Class III weapon (and pay the hefty price) in order to do so. The way that Bushmaster got around that is I have a 14.5" barrel, but the supressor on the end is 1.5" and permanently welded to the barrel. Thus, it is 16" long, technically.Originally Posted by nightracer

HOLY HUGE PICTURE BATMAN, I FORGOT TO RESIZE IT.
whats the difference between an m4a4 and a ar15??? is it that the m4a is a fully automatic?
Eh, yes and no. AR comes from Armalite and not Assault Rifle. The M4 Carbine is a family of firearms tracing its lineage back to earlier carbine M16, all based on the original AR-15 made by ArmaLite. The AR-15 was first made in both auto and semi auto configs. Then, the M-16 came out (about the same exact thing, really). The M4 Carbine is just a shorter AR-15/M-16.Originally Posted by PhAtBoYMr2
Honestly, there's really not much difference between the guns. They all look the same and most of the parts can be used between them. Most M16s and M4s are full auto/semi/3rnd burst. Most AR-15s are semi auto.

I have a Bushmaster AR-15 with about 500 rounds through it. I love the gun but I am moving and trying to sell it. I am asking $600 and if you're interested let me know.

isnt a Gal 5 just a shorter m16 fully auto? I shot a gal 5 , m-16, and an m4 while we were deployed for hte hell of it, and i like an m16 better than an m4...but hte m4 is quieter
The M16 is an outdated piece of garbage, the only people that get issued those in the military now are the paperwork bitches and other people who never use their guns. It only has one advantage and thats long range accuracy but it would take an expert to notice the difference at anything less than a 300 meter shot.
i hit the cans with everythign i shot lol
I know this, but I didn't want to go into detail. However, I do believe that M16A3, however rare, was fully auto as well.Originally Posted by bdydrpddualy

M16A4....removable carrying handle to allow for newer optics to be mounted on rail system
PWND...jk though...ive never really been a fan of the m16 and ar more so to a G3A3. I shot one that my uncle had "on the low" and that shit will fucking tear you up.Originally Posted by bdydrpddualy
talking about guns. I unloaded one of my 9's yesterday at the range, 2 boxes of ammo.. it felt good. yep, sure did.
Outside of the militarys weapons I dont know shit about guns but I can tell you anything about pretty much any weapon in the Army. This may be a stupid question but what is the G3A3 and do you have a pic of one??Originally Posted by NSCredondo

fuck bushmaster go with the COLT, I have two myself. if it isnt suppressed or full auto you dont need a class 3 arms liscense. you can keep it .223 or go gay and swap out the receiver for one that shoots 9mm. anyway reliable gun and fun to shoot

honestly man do what a friend of mine did. buy the parts separately and put it together yourself....
A) its cheaper
B) no one knows about it
only problem is: obtaining the lower reciever. thats the only part of the weapon you have to have the "license" for

I thought you didn't need a license for guns in GA? Why do you need a license for the lower receiver?
