    not bad. why is is that when you talk to a recruiter, they never tell you about 3 years? the recruiter i talked to when i went to winder told me i had to sign 6 years and kept telling me BS like that. then i found out bout the 3 year from a friend in reserves

    the minimum length of your contract depends on what job you pick in the military, certain jobs require longer and more expensive training so they make you stay in longer.some schools are two years long so it would cost too much to send somebody to school for two years and then they get out of the army a year later, my school was just an extended basic training cause im in the infantry so thats how I got three years, most jobs require 4 though.
