The scene is dead because of an ever-growing problem with maturity and kiddies with too much money on their hands. More and more KIDS these days are getting money to "pimp" out their rides (be it from parents, part-time jobs, etc). The crew is getting younger and younger. Most of the kids don't even have a clue about their cars, either. They just want to be in the show and get the attention. They aren't serious, they act like kids because they are kids. I'm talking about 15, 16, 17 yr olds, etc.
I'm a 30 year old man. Honestly, I have NO interest and going to a show and hanging out with immature fucks who talk trash, act their age, and basically show the "car intelligence" of a hamster.
I have a feeling that I speak for a good many people that are my age give or take a few years. When you don't have "older" people in these shows, you lose the sponsors, you lose the models, and the overall quality goes down.
Everyone on IA.com can sit and agree that the recent generations of kids has been going downhill. Now you are seeing that result of that pattern... It is affecting multiple aspects of life. It's a downward spiral...

Plus there is more now, More cars built better all around fast and go, more type of events, Like, Drifting, I mean 10 years ago import drag racing was on its peak.. now is not as big
Reality is, Almost everything has been done, so you think.. there will always be one person to take it to the next level... You might like or not.. there is more stuff now, then back then.. One other big diffrence is we are growing older and more out of it and maybe for some of us SMARTER? maybe ?.. Now that makes total sense.. some people continue to show and will do so until they die, I will love cars until I die, But I gave up on showing, due to the fact that I did everything I wanted to do. That was only 3 years ago.
HIN is still pulling massive attendace all over the country, Some states were good, just not good enough or what they really wanted. beleive me, Me and paul aka admin know shit some of you will never know.

the scene had definately changed... there is either nice or rice... there isn't just a good median of cars anymore... either they are rice and is some young kid or its really nice and its an OG still holding it down. models/sponsors have all declined in the show scene. to tell you the truth the scene is still making $$$ but you need to venture into the the competitive sports ring such as: drifting, road racing, drag, etc... show scene will always be around, there isn't a car that doesn't look better hooked up; i'm sure we will see it come back into the mainstream when drifting crazy wears out and people find out that donuts in parking lots isn't that entertaining. (i'm not knocking REAL drifters, but the 240 is the new civic unfortunately)
