Yeah tell me about money man. I am tring to save for collage but drop all of my money in my car. As for the 3s swap i talked with a bud on vvti.net and he said his shop could do the swap for 5grand motor and install. I really do not know what to do. I am torn.

Yeah but the swap is almost 100% custom. The wireing, mounts, I dont even know what and how the tranny setup is like., axels. There is a lot of work to make it fit. Also I am not sure if it will be worth it. A 3s only make what 240-260hp at the crank?

depends on which generation you pick as well as the car
    celica
    gen 1:185@6000rpm
    gen 2:225@6400rpm
gen 3:225-230@6500 also a limited edition RC 235(WRC)
    MR2:
    any gen:200

If i were you i would look into the 3SGE (N/A version) the later versions 3-4 made amazing power and can be taken into the 200+whp range with bolt ons and some tuning!!!the gen 4 BEAMS(Breakthrough Engine with Advanced Mechanism System) version made 200@7100rpm(8300 rpm redline) to the crank stock NA!!!!!they rev very high and actually make some tq lol. this would be alot cheaper and give you more than enough power to rip it up on the street/track.they make amazing track motors, its also what im planning to do to my MKI MR2 ! IMHO the GTE would be too much for a FWD car...wheel spin would own you!
