congrats, if its a rebuilt engine, just take it easy for 100 miles. if its had to pistons and rings in it, CHANGE THE OIL at these intervals:
20MIN of running
50 MILES
100 MILES
500 MILES

you will get most of the metal shavings in the first 500 miles, to keep from scarring the cylinder walls, change your oil repeatedly at those intervals. also , use CHEAP oil no synthetics. I usually run my engines to redline within min of starting, but it depends on what your builder says to do

exactly, i changed my oil like 4 times the first 500 miles then at 1,000 & 2,000...castrol baby! (or was it penzoil ) yeah, com'n! Can't remember if i made the switch to Mobil 1 at 1k or 2k
