Does anyone know how long it takes to get a renewed tag (the sticker) in the mail? I ordered mine over the internet because the hours are STUPID and I never had/have time to go up to the tag office... I ordered it Monday night, and it's now Thursday and still no sticker in the mail! I'm going out of town this weekend and I don't feel like dealing with being pulled over for something that has been paid for. Thanks.

45? There's no way, considering they only allow you to pay up to 30 days in advance....

If you have proof that you paid for it and you get pulled over, just show them the paper showing you paid and that your just waiting for the sticker. I got a custom tag and I got a paper tag showing EXPIRES MAY 16, 2012, the shit fell off. Got stopped once in Lilburn and 4 times by APD. I showed them the paperwork and told me to have a good day.

When they run your tag, they can see if its been renewed or not. You'll be ok

lol i got my first tax return less than 2 wks the other just over 2 wks...i paid off/down a good bit of shit and got some goodies for my car, it was a great year , til the accident

The state has changed the entire tag / title / registration process. Its about to get worse too. Can take up to 45 days but probably won't. Just carry the receipt where you paid for the renewal and you'll be fine.

I paid for it online... the only thing taht popped up after I paid it was: please allow 2-3 business days for your sticker to arrive in the mail.

Try looking it up where you paid online and you should find a receipt.

Shouldn't it be in the system regardless if she can get receipt or not, so once they run the tag it says that its paid for..... Because my mom had the same issue and was driving without hers for like 2 months and never got bothered for it

I will know an exact answer to this question as soon as my brother wakes up.

EDIT: If you paid for it online, it will show up in the database as valid and legal. You can just tell the officer that the sticker is in the mail.
