An expensive car isn't an indicator of wealth, it CAN be an indicator of wealth.

Tons of rich ppl who live super-modestly vs outliers in badass cars (borrowed, rented, gifted, stupidly financed, rich parents.. the list goes on)

I think it's an arguably weak indicator of wealth, but without a doubt unreliable indicator of wealth.

But at the end of the day, he did mention someone pulling up to a job interview in a clunker. Will this/should this be an indicator of this person's competency? Ideally- no, realistically probably will be used in judgement- given the person can't show real value on their own.
