Importatlanta was officially launched Feb 24th, 2001.

Only 2 people were on IA before that Date.. Brian Miller and Myself...

IA was not online...( public ) IA was online ( unofficially ) in Dec 2000 for testing purposes, but was only for a an hour or so.

A little history... I'm not an OG until I hit 50....

I remember back in 1987, I bought my first computer. It was a Commodore 64C. I bought a 54 baud modem (or it came with it, I don't remember) and hooked it to the phone line. Of course back then, when you got online, the phone line went busy so no one could call in. I got on an IM service and a friend of mine did as well. When he would type, it would take about 5 minutes or so for it to come through to me. Vice versa to him. Shit took about 30 minutes to say "hey, what's up?" "nothing much. how about you?" Then we had to get offline, lolol. Later, QD.

lmao so about 12 hours to have a full convo then. . And damn I remember my first computer being an IBM 486 well and I had my Apple II/C

I started Civic Minded way back in the day, We were the first club to start meeting on Thursdays at Northpoint, then others started to join and then it became the weekly Thursday meets that became so big, Great times back then
