According to my wallet I am smarter but I'll play.

The speed limit on the interstate I travel is 65, I go 80. I have no problem going 80 all the way to work. My "slow" civic gets to 80 just like your rustang, maybe not as quick but do I really care? Nope. At the end of the day I can go further than you on a tank, so fill up your car and I'll fill up mine and we will see who is sitting on the side of the road first. At the end of the day you can only go so fast on the roads so do I really need a V8 for everyday driving? Nope. Slow or not it's smarter and you know it.

1. My civic would hit 80 in a 1/4 mile...Hell maybe even 85! lol
2. My comment wasn't for the track. Mine was toward the current gas prices and everyday driving.
3. My bike gets better gas mileage than my car but it doesn't have A/C, 4 seats and a roof when its raining.

If I were to build a car for the 1/4 mile it would most likely have a V8 LSX based motor BUT like stated above my comment was just for the streets, where I can care less how much power my cars has and rather the MPG's it gets.
