Compare a twin turbo supra and a gt-r skyline... both similarly performing (obviously skyline owns)... but still what would you rather have?... lol what stands out more, whats more rare?
I got to drive one back in '01 when I went up to Maryland. My buddy had one of the first R32 GTRs in America. It just wasn't that special to me, that's all. They are only rare in the US; everywhere else they are popular. I am not a fan of their look, either. A bit too boxy for me...

The purple one or the silver one? The silver one (R33 with the RB25GTS) flipped in the trailer if I remember correctly. The purple one (R33 GTR?) is still alive and well I do believe.

Are you positive it was the purple one?

I've heard stories of Trinh's car, but I've heard stories that it was ''his silver R33 GTS25''

If it doesn't fit force it. If it breaks it was meant to be upgraded!
If it doesn't break you wern't driving hard enough!

I'm sure if the M3 wasnt available here people would be all crazy about it like the Skyline. In stock form I don't think the R34's are really all that fast but there is a lot of potential.

At the end of the day its still a Nissan, not to take anything away from it but you throw it in the ring with the RX7, NSX, Supra, or 911 and its on par but doesn't necessarily blow any of them away.

I got to page 3 and couldn't take anymore...

Skylines are all about one thing in the U.S.

    HYYYYYYYYYPE.

Owning a Skyline doesn't mean you're a fucking god and generally speaking they're not that great stock. They have tons of potential, but look foward to paying enormous amounts of money to make the car exceptionally fast, let alone legal.

I think they're "neat", and I get excited when I see them on the street but I don't buy into all the bullshit. Just drive one stock in Gran Turismo 4 against something like a Z06 or some other similarly priced supercar and you'll start to see that the Skylines heft lets it get a rod in the ass.

I lost all respect for Mercedes when they decided that no one on earth deserves to drive the SLR with a manual gear box. Fuck all that automatic, "let the car do the driving for you!" bullshit. I wanna sidestep the clutch mid corner and have my AMG lay rubber for a few hundred feet. I DON'T want to step on the gas and have the computer tell me I'm a fucking idiot and don't deserve understeer. If I owned an auto/tcs equipped Mercedes i'd be pissed... I spent this much... and you assholes are trying to tell me I don't deserve a little power oversteer when I want it... f that
