Because aparently the oil drillings off the US coast are the only ones that dont have cut off valves every so often in the pipes. They are sayin its gonna be fucking Thanksgiving before they get their shit together. You would think with as much money as a company like that could hire someone to come up with better solutions then trying to clog the pipe with misc. things like tires, golf balls, and bags of fucking hair. BP is actually taking goddamn hair donations. My head is shaved but I got some hair elsewhere I wouldn't mind donating. Who knows they might fuck up again and start a lice/crabs epidemic lol

I filled up my car today with BP gas, as they are the only station I really use.
On a side note, has anyone found anything to explain what happened yet? I have been looking around and havent found anything about a cause, just the events that led up to the explosion.
i never buy gas from anyone other than the marathon down the street from me. Family owned so i'm not supporting big businesses.

cheap gas is cheap gas, idc who i get it from. bp MIGHT see $0.50/gallon of any purchase of their gas, so who cares. they need the money anyways, they just dropped over a billion on this mess. IMO theyre doing what they car to stop it fast, trying the easy shit first while they come up with other backup plans. the prooblem is that the equipment wasnt tested properly or maintained properly by the drilling company and the agencies in charge of overseeing safety and regulatory processes didnt do their job. bitching about the leak as it is wont change anything, but preventing another similar accident is what needs to happen.
