    I think its ridiculous. Let them go. What kind of feedback does this school think they are going to receive now, especially with it being on the news? The principal and school board is going to look like a bunch of idiots.

    Actually most small towns are highly religious and don't condone homosexuality. So they probably just made a good decision based on where they are.

    It really does suck for them that they had to have the entire prom cancelled just because of one lesbian couple, but i remember my prom, i even WENT in a small group of friends that had a 2 girl bi couple and it was more fun than anything, cuz as a guy, having the imbalance of extra girls in the group was much more fun for me

    I said fuck prom and went to an A7X, and Coheed & Cambria concert. Much cooler than partying with a bunch of people I couldn't care less about. Everybody said the prom sucked anyways.

    the schools reason for canceling was "due to the distractions to the educational process caused by recent events"

    but the fact that they canceled this event which prompted the girl to go the the news and court and make this whole ordeal very public is so ironic....I mean wow these school officials are dumbasses....of course the kids/parents would go to the news and this would cause a bigger distraction than just letting the 2 girls go together...the sad part is these dumbass school officials are either teaching those kids and/or runnng the school system, which says a lot of the education those kids are getting
