OK, not that anyone who was getting all pissy will come back in here but... after re-reading this, I see something wrong here. I'm going to say that all of you who are coming in to say "you're just being an asshole" "you're don't have to be mean" "poor girl" and anything along those lines. It seems as if you forget that when typing conversations, only words in quotations (" ") are what has taken place in the typed conversation. It seems like some of what I typed that were thoughts about what was going on, not actualy words in my conversation were taken as what I actually said. But I have to remember that this is IA where people are quick to be keyboard cowboys and make a fast reply before questioning what they're reading and checking for correct punctuation and use of the English language....because 80% of people posting on here lack such knowledge of such details and simply don't care to pick up on small details before getting all up in arms.

Maybe if I simplify some things... or what you call cliffs, it will sink in...

-Place order for food.
-hand over two coupons.
-cashier says I cannot use both coupons.
-my GF pays for ONE meal using ONE coupon but girl cannot figure out how to redeem said SubWay-issued coupon
-Takes several minutes to figure out how to apply ONE coupon to ONE purchase
-My turn to pay for ME to pay for my ONE item using ONE coupon.
-girl refuses to use "Buy one get one free 6" sub coupon on a single 12" sub..which is just two identical 6" subs wrapped up together and that "if you need to take the sandwich out of the wrapper and wrap each half up as seperate 6" subs then do so". Yes I did say that, but in a very calm and patient tone..even with a little laugh to try to break up the situation.
-Girl finally accepts coupon, but keeps trying to ring up purchase as 12" sub
-Finally get it run up, but am now overcharged for a different sandwich
-Point out error in money charged but don't care to get difference back nad go sit down and eat.
-time spent at register..about 10min.

At no time did I raise my voice, yell, curse, point, or get angry. I probably did have a tone of frustration as I pointd out the overcharge, but no loudly or rudely. I was more than calm and collective the entire time. OK so fine, I couldn't use two coupns this time, so I handed one off to my GF and she made a seperate transaction..but deal. What does it matter if I use two coupons and I use one and my GF uses one and we pay for our food seperately. No point in trying to start this whole "you were using two coupons" bullshit...that issue was resolved with out me contecting it..and if you're still holding onto that arguement...well, i'm sorry that's all you can focus on. I'm also going to say that it seems a lot of people don't know that when dealing with any customer service-related jobs that the fewer words you use the easier things *should* be. Keep shit short and to the point. Which of the following situations leave more room for error and complication-

1) Yes, I would like to order two 6" chicken breast subs. Both on honey wheat. On that one I want lettuce, tomato, pickle, mayo and sweet onion sauce. (in typical SubWay tradition, they will then push that sub down, wrap it up and pull the next sandwich over in front of the toppings). On this one I want lettuse, tomato, picke, mayo and sweet onion sauce.

At this point, the two chicken breast subs will be wrapped seperately and put next to the other 6" chicken teryiaki sub I ordered...making a pile of three 6" subs. This will now turn into "which is which?" so now we are left figuring out which is the teryiaki to go as one meal and not be confused as me trying to buy one 6" chicken breas and trying to get the 6" teryiaki for free or something dumb like that.

2) I want one 12" chicken breast sandwich with lettuce, tomato, pickle, mayo and sweet onion sauce.

Now we have one 12" sub...or if you want to get technical...two identical 6" subs wrapped in a single piece of wax paper.. and one 6" teryiaki sub which makes making two transactions much easier when it comes to showing which sandwich is for what transation.
