I dislike him due to the fact he had no courtesy to stop the car and see if he could help or offer some sort of minor apology. The other thing that I don't get is why he wouldn't stop due to the damage his car had. We found a piece of something off of his car when we went to grab the dog's body.
If you remember what kinda car it is you can always look for it around that time of day to see if he passes through and do whatever you'd like.

He actually had one of those, something bothered him on the other side of the road so bad he went through it. This was the first time he ever left the yard like that.

There's no need to explain yourself man. You're thoughts and reasons are completely valid enough. Later, QD.

i agree. the dog should have been on a leash to begin with. if i was going prob thirty or under id stop. like in a neighborhood yes. on a main road with other quick moving traffic no. sorry about your dog though

I'd stop without hesitation. Sure, as the driver you can go ahead and say that the owners are at fault for not having him on a leash... but that doesn't change the fact that you hit the animal. In my eyes, whether it was 10 or 50 mph, the driver should at least take on the simple responsibility of checking to see if the dog is OK. The last thing I would want on my conscience is the idea of me not stopping to check on a dog that probably could've been saved.

My last dog was a bull terrier that I grew up with and had for 15 years. She died of natural causes, but if she had been hit by a car and the driver actually stopped, I wouldn't be pointing the finger or "getting into it" with the driver; a scenario that some of you have suggested would happen. At that point, I'd be more concerned about whether the the dog could be helped, as opposed to placing blame on someone and getting into pointless fights about who is at fault.

i wish the person that swerved into my drive way to hit my dog would of stopped. i mean this person hit my 9 month old dog that was right on the edge of my drive way by serving from the other side of the road. if that wasn't intentional, please tell me what is...

We wouldn't have gotten into it with the driver, that's just not how we are. We would just have liked him to get out and attempt to help or check on Little Guy. He didn't do a thing so it made the situation worse.

thanks man i appreciate it. it sucks when you know someone does it intentionally. i mean if it would of been accidental and the person stopped i wouldn't of been mad. i would of tried to rush him to the animal hospital. but there are some fucked up people in this world. considering my dog was on a runner and just outside for about 20 minutes to do his business and run a little bit.

To everyone sorry I can't rep any more today. I've been repping everyone who has been straight up honest, even AnthonyF. I might not agree with what he said but he was honest.

Agreed. Although resorting to name calling to get your (version of) point across was unnecessary seeing as how I was respectful to hm. Later, QD.

You must have misread what I typed. I wasn't blaming you directly but the person who didn't keep him on a leash.

Now you said you did have an electric fence so you took the precautions you needed to keep the dog safe. So it's not really anyones peoples fault unless some1 turned down the sensitivity. But you took the steps that were needed.

In one of my statements I even said I would stop. I have before..for dogs. Not so much cats, sorry cat lovers or any wild animal that I have hit that was small.

I've never had a problem with you and I still don't.

~EDIT-the name was directed to your Frat brothers, not you.~

it just creates an awkward situation and usually the people are mad at you and yelling very irrationally when all i was doing is driving down the road like my car was intended for

honestly id rather be "that asshole that drove away" than "then the fucking idiot offered to help us bury it said his name was jeff"

    bingo.

however if i hit a dog.. i dont think i could keep going.. i love dogs way too much..

I always stop for animals (even squirrels lol). If I can't stop I swirve around them. I 've seen a dog hit by a car in front of me and I just screamed! I literally cried the whole way home because no one stoped and I couldn't stop to help it. Everyone just kept riding by. That could have been someone's pet.

I'm really sorry for you loss. I could never imagine what it would be like to lose your pet. My dog is literally my child. She means EVERYTHING to me. Everything will be ok
