A baby does not need to be hit in any form. I would never think of touching my child in that fashion until about 2 years of age. And then it's not beatings, but more of stern pops.

Since you're a moron I won't call you out on your disability, but did you know that a child doesn't start processing good from bad til after 3 years of age? Its brain is still developing -causing random impulse movements to occur. One minute they are perfectly confortable and the next they're running around crying. A 2 year old doesn't even know what breathing is or why it's doing it. It just comes naturally, but it doesn't know that.
With that being said.

He/she is around 2 in the article. But did you not catch the part where he allegedly slapped the child 5-6 times? You don't slap a child (especially 2 years old) at all. The taps that you're talking about are just fine for a child in the 2-4 year range. Then when that child starts getting into the 5 year old area, then you can make the spankings a little more prevalent.
A good parent will NEVER slap a child, NEVER jerk a child by the limbs or hit a child in the head. There's no excuse for that at all.
