Yes. Places that Valet only. I have actually tipped places that Valet only to let me park my own car.

I went to Fogo Friday night and dude parked my car literally in the parking spot in front of the door. He looked at me, I handed him 3 bucks, and he handed me my keys. At Ted's a few weeks ago, I knew there was a self park in the back. I pulled up and said, "I'm going to park it my self." The dude said, "C'mon man, I always wanted to do burnouts in one of those things!" I swear, I could have punched him.

That would make me weary of Valets, but it's their job. Hopefully no Valet will ever do that to your car.

My friend watched the valet at 2 urban licks drive straight over a speed bump, bottom out, and stall on top of the speed bump. The dude denied it when I went outside. I told him to give me my keys immediately. Fucking asshole.

Damn, that's horrible. But I assure you not all Valets are like that. A few members are valets & there is even an owner of a valet company on the site. Just all the bad experiences don't ever make up for the good service of others.

? Even if I had nothing but great experiences with Valets, I would have no use for the service. The ONLY time it would be somewhat useful is if the restaurant only had parking in a garage that was some distance away from the front door. Most restaurants in Atlanta, they park your car around the corner, or even worse, where you can see it when you walk out the front door. I have no qualm with walking to 30 yards to my car.

Have you seen at least half the people who park? Especially at a nice upscale dinner place? Some nights they get busy and have to double up on parking and "normal" people would never be able to comprehend how to park or get out of the parking lot without hitting someone else.

What about your female? You park all the way in the back and make her walk with you or do you drop her off at the front door hoping she'll still be there when you get up there? To me, when going to a nice restaurant, I would want Valet parking. I would be a little skeptic about the person parking, but I'm sure they don't pick the first person they find on the street to park cars for their company.

Damn right I make her walk too. We aren't talking about walking a marathon. At Fogo, Bones, Cheesecake Factory, etc, they park you car a comfortable distance away. The walk is the perfect time to converse about the delightful meal that was just eaten.

Because just using, let's say $3 from each person that eats there will equal to around half a million dollar not even an acre land in downtown atlanta?

Just sayin', most places won't argue if you decide to park your own car.
