But anything that starts to mess with his family, I'm going to say is too far. The guy is just doing his job, and while he sucks at it, his family shouldn't be getting harassed. Stopped reading after third reply. Many responses do not have solid foundation in real life. Understanding of what a real PI does is apparently lost on people, and all they can think of is Dick Tracy.

What's the best course of action? Tell the guy where you live, tell him that if he harasses you that you have a right to file charges against him, and tell him that if he has questions for you that he can ask them and that you'll answer. IF YOU ARE EVASIVE THEY WILL HAVE A REASON TO TRY AND PROVE THAT YOU'RE FAKING. Instead, be UP FRONT and direct. If you don't believe me, contact your lawyer who's working the lawsuit and ask him. Playing hard-to-find just gives them more crap to throw out in court. It sure sounds shady when the PI gets up before the court and says "Well all I wanted to do was ask some questions, but he avoided me in a way that many people who're attempting to commit fraud would do."

I have been sending him messages telling him all he needs to do is call me and we can talk. I have nothing to hid but instead he would rather call my family and friends instead of me.
